Site Registration
In order to gain full access to the site, a user account is
required. Property search results can be obtained without logging in; however,
you will be prompted to register to gain access to the detailed property reports
pages. Accounts are free to create as well as to use and can be set up by
clicking on the 'Login Member Home' tab at the top of the website. Your name,
email, and password are required. Once registered, you can also submit new
property listings. Listings can be managed from your Member Log In Area
following approval of the new listing.

Step
One: Select Property Type
The
interactive search mechanism allows users to search for either existing
businesses or available properties. The first step is to select either
'Business' or one of the available property tabs: 'Commercial', 'Industrial', or
'Land'.

Business Search
Once
you click on the Business tab, there are a number of ways to search. Users have
the ability to search by: business name; community; address; parcel number;
industry type and code; proximity to major roadways, public transit, hospitals,
and downtown; and development district. Multiple search categories can be used
at once. Once you select your search criteria, click on the 'Execute Search'
button at the bottom of the page.
A new
page will be generated showing all of the businesses matching your search
requirements. Businesses will be shown on the map at the bottom of the page as
well.
Click
on the 'View Details' tab to get detailed information about the selected
business. A new web page will be generated showing the business information in
detail. If you want to go back to the search results page, simply click on the
'Go Back to Search Results' button at the top of the page.

Available
Property Search
Once you click on the Commercial, Industrial, or Land tab,
there are a number of ways to search. Users have the ability to search by:
subtype (manufacturing, office, retail, etc.); acreage; square footage of
available space; community; address; parcel number; proximity to major roadways,
public transit, hospitals, and downtown; development district; and certain
distinctions, such as loading docks, an alternative energy source, parking,
drive-in doors, and LEED certification. In addition, users may search 'For
Sale', 'For Lease', or 'For Sale or For Lease'. Multiple search categories can
be used at once. Once you select your search criteria, click on the 'Execute
Search' button at the bottom of the page.
A new page will be generated showing all of the properties
matching your search requirements. Properties will be shown on the map at the
bottom of the page as well.
Click on the 'View Details' tab to get detailed
information about the selected property. A new web page will be generated
showing the property information in detail. If you want to go back to the search
results page, simply click on the 'Go Back to Search Results' button at the top
of the page.

View
Map Layers of Information
To view
'layers' of information on the map go to the area above the map and click the
check box next to the layer you would like to see. The layer will automatically
display. By clicking on certain
layers, additional information about that layer can be
obtained.

Zooming
In and Out of the Map
On the
left side of the map is a 'scale' with a + and - sign to move in or out. You can
also double click on the map, and the map will zoom.

Create
Demographic Reports
After
finding a property, click on the 'Demographics' tab located near the top of the
web page. A new web page will be generated. Select the type of demographic
report desired (demographics, consumer expenditures, business & workforce).
Next type in the distance around the property you want the report to cover.
Finally, click on the 'calculate' button and a demographic report will be
created. This information can be used to understand market characteristics of
the location.

Create
Business Reports
After
finding a property, click on the 'Businesses' tab located near the top of the
web page. A new web page will be generated. Type in the distance around the
property you want the report to cover. Then, click on the 'calculate' button and
a business report will be created. A new web page will be generated that will
list the businesses around that property by industry category. The businesses
will be mapped by color as well as displayed as a list on the report. To view
only one industry category click on the underlined link in the report area. This
will generate a new web page showing only the businesses in that category on the
map and a list of the business names with addresses in the report

Aerial
Photography
After
finding a property, click on the 'Aerial Photography' tab located near the top
of the web page. An interactive web application will open in your browser
window.
In
the left hand column, users have access to multiple images of the same location
taken from different angles (oblique and orthogonal) and directions (N, S, E,
and W).
On
the top-left portion of the main image frame are the standard 'movement' tools
of Pan, Zoom, and Full View.
Users
have the ability for more detailed zooming, with the zoom tool located to the
right of the main image.
Also
to the right is the ability to select three different map size options. These
size options are located at the bottom-right portion of the main picture
frame.
In addition, this imaging application gives
users the ability to perform measurements of area, distance, and height. These
tools are located in the top-right portion of the main image
frame.
Area
Click on the 'Measure
Area' tool, then left click your mouse once in one of the four corners of the
area you are measuring. To define the rest of the area box, simply drag your
mouse to the other corners, left clicking once at each corner. During the
operation, the area measurement will appear in your defined
area.
Distance
Click on the 'Measure Distance' tool, then
left click once at the starting point of your distance and drag your mouse to
the desired distance, left clicking once at any point to obtain a measurement.
Height
Click on the 'Measure Height' tool. Unlike the
other two measuring tools, left click and hold at the starting
location of your measurement and then drag up or down to obtain a
measurement.
Finally,
users have the ability to obtain additional images and information of the
selected property through either Google Maps or Windows Live Local by clicking
on the drop-down menu located at the bottom-left portion of the main image
frame. Once the desired application is selected, you will need to click on the
'Go' button
